Over 1000 free pages of practical and provocative information for the volunteer management field: a monthly "Hot Topic" essay by Energize president Susan J. Ellis--and responses from site visitors; an online Volunteer Management Library of hundreds of articles, book excerpts, and annotated Web links organized by topic; and so much more!

This site has an extensive section on Volunteer Management (Volunteer screening, recruitment, interviewing, evaluation, retention, etc.) which, although written for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is great material which can be adapted to nearly any organization.  Much of the material was written by Steve McCurley and Rick Lynch.

This is a nonprofit online magazine for community nonprofits. It is published every third Tuesday through a HTML newsletter delivered to more than 60,000 subscribers. It is free due to sponsor support. Jan Masaoka is the Director and Editor in Chief and the magazine is guided by a steering committee at Compass Point in San Francisco, CA. I look forward to reading this every month.
